Invisalign Braces Treatment

What Are Invisalign Braces?

Invisalign is a custom-made clear aligner or retainer that works to straighten teeth, fix bite problems, or cure gaps. It is made out of a transparent plastic material that is almost undetectable, which is why it is an aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional metal braces.

Invisalign Treatment Process

As a certified Invisalign provider, Big Smile Dental will take care of your smile. We start by taking impressions and photos of your teeth and then create a set of aligners based on your mouth’s exact measurements and desired results. After taking impressions, we can give you a digital image of what your teeth will look like after the treatment is completed.

Ongoing Invisalign Treatment

Each case varies from patient to patient; however, we usually have our patients return for the next set of their Invisalign series every two weeks. Changing the clear retainers is pertinent in ensuring that your teeth are aligning the way our computer program anticipates. Once we know the process, we send your personal 3D scan and program to Invisalign for them to develop each set of custom aligners.

Invisalign FAQ

How much does Invisalign cost?

Prices for Invisalign are usually a bit more expensive than traditional braces. The total cost depends on your treatment plan. A better estimate will be provided after your consultation.

How long does it take to straighten your teeth with Invisalign?

It varies between each patient, depending on your age and how much straightening needs to be involved. For most adults, it averages 12 months. Learn more about the Invisalign Process.

How painful is Invisalign?

You may feel soreness at the beginning of your treatment process; however, the pain should digress once your teeth adjust to your aligners.

Can I eat, drink, or chew gum with Invisalign?

Please avoid eating with your Invisalign aligners. Only drink water while wearing Invisalign. Other foods and liquids can stain your aligners and cause plaque buildup.
